As a Tax Senior (m/f) within our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team, you will make a technical contribution to tax engagements and internal projects with focus on Indirect Tax, primarily VAT. You will actively establish internal and external relationships.The opportunityWe are currently seeking for a VAT Senior (m/f) to support our constantly growing tax team and help our clients in tax projects at different industry sectors.   • Delivering clients with quality, timely and responsive advisory services in the area of VAT and other indirect taxes.
  • Supervise the work and development of junior tax professionals
  • Demonstrate an understanding of complex indirect tax concepts and discuss complex indirect tax issues with the engagement team and client
  • Be informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situation
  • Thoroughly and accurately analyse information and prepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation
  • Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals
Skills and attributes for success
  • Strong technical skills in indirect tax (VAT primarily) and keen to develop further
  • Building effective long-term relationships with our clients and understanding their unique needs to provide tailored service
  • Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
  • Client focused and commercially aware
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
  • Ability to coach and develop more junior tax members of the team
What we look for
  • University degree (degree in Accounting, Auditing or Law is considered an advantage)
  • A minimum of 3 years of related tax experience - working experience in one of Big4 companies or tax administration will be considered as an asset
  • Experience with VAT is a strong preference
  • Fluency in English language
  • Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills
