We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Chief Maintenance Officer to lead all hotel-related maintenance activities across our resort's premium properties. This role focuses exclusively on hotel maintenance— including guest areas, back-of-house, spa, and public spaces—while working closely with the Facility Manager/Technical Director, who oversees the broader technical infrastructure and technical center.JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for managing and supervising all technical operations and activities within the complex * Ensures the successful execution of engineering projects

Manages technical resources and ensures continuous improvement and innovation of the complex’s technical capabilities
Collaborates in setting strategic goals, initiating technical advances and ensuring high quality and performance standards
Leads and manages the technical department, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to technical staff
Develops and implements procedures and best practices to ensure high-quality technical work
Collaborates with senior management to develop the technical strategy of the complex, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
Sets clear goals for the technical department, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Monitors and evaluates the performance of the technical department, adjusting strategies and resources as needed
Manages the department’s budget, including allocation of project funds and monitoring of expenditures
Oversees implementation of quality control and assurance processes to ensure all technical work meets company standards and complies with regulations
Provides problem-solving and technical support in critical situations
Responsible for compliance with all legal obligations and regulations
Ensures fire protection, environmental protection and toxicology in accordance with legal regulations and other rules in the scope of work

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Required Education: University degree in technical, electrical or mechanical engineering or similar
Previous Work Experience: 5–8 years
Experience working in an international hospitality environment, ideally with resort experience.
Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
Proficient in maintenance planning, energy efficiency, and CMMS usage.
Analytical and systematic thinking skills.
English and Croatian proficiency required, German a plus..
