AVL is one of the world's leading mobility technology companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry, and in other sectors.Development Engineer ProductionAVL is the largest supplier of measurement devices for automotive OEMs worldwide. We have started an Industrialization team in Zagreb which will collaborate with established R&D and Industrialization teams in Zagreb/Graz with goal of bringing power converters (battery cell testing, dyno) to the market. We need your support in ensuring efficient, optimized and uninterrupted manufacturing of AVL's converters.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ownership over technical problem-solving in manufacturing line (eg. root cause analysis or recurring assembly errors, interface between manufacturing and R&D staff, short term- / long term- measures, reporting)
Coordination of technical problem-solving of production/test/calibration equipment with internal stakeholders or external suppliers and partners (End of line test or calibration devices and methods)
Understand and manage data regarding equipment availability / efficiency (demand and available capacity per manufacturing process step incl. planned and unplanned downtimes)
Participation in selection and validation of reproducible and stable production process during the industrialization phase of new products.
Co-creation and updating of production line specification document (definition of assembly- and test-equipment per process step and detailed technical requirements for facility & infrastructure)
Coordination of equipment purchasing and implementation at production line (eg. third party test equipment for PCBAs ect)
Validation of production process during the pilot series production & continuous improvement
Support operative tasks from the industrial engineering environment (actions out of technical change management, cost calculations, tracking changes in ERP - SAP, creating new docu for manufacturing)
Support, analysis, and preparing reports of manufacturing- and material costs (cost breakdown)
Support specification (drawing) of business processes in SAP Signavio tool

YOUR PROFILE:

Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical eng (automation, mechatronics) or comparable degree
Understanding of switched power supplies (converters) and Scripting (eg Python) is a bonus
Experience in ERP software tools (SAP) experience is an advantage
Outgoing personality with good communication skills (teamwork is our core value)
2+ years of relevant experience (production process understanding needed, commissioning exp considered relevant)
Assertive communication style, solution-oriented approach, a keen interest in making stuff work
Initiative and commitment towards enabling manufacturing processes
Readiness for travel to manufacturing service supplier sites & HQ (up to 20% worktime annually)
Proficiency in English and Croatian, German skills are a bonus
Drivers license B category is advantageous
