This role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining the safety program including customer requirements in Safety during project execution. When a project requires a dedicated safety coordinator, this position will act as the Site Safety Coordinator. Additionally, the Construction Safety Specialist will manage the subcontractor safety program (pre-qualification, training records, auditing) and support other departments with safety audits and site visits.What kind of work will you be doing?
Support and promote Vertiv's safety culture on Infrastructure Solutions projects.
Develop and maintain the safety program, MS, RA for large projects in accordance with EMEA regulations.
Create site-specific safety plans for project sites.
Manage subcontractors, including pre-qualification, training records, and regular safety audits.
Collect and maintain training certifications for subcontractors.
Develop and conduct safety orientations and key training for specific work activities.
Maintain and manage daily safety documentation on project sites.
Implement and monitor Vertiv's SWAT (Safety Walk and Talk) and Good Catch programs, including reporting.
Track and analyze project safety performance and report trends.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety audits, including subcontractor audits.
Assist with developing Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for project tasks.
Create Safety Plan for project tasks according customer requirements.
Conduct user training for fall protection and other job-specific safety practices.
Prepare monthly safety reports for Vertiv Leadership.
Provide recommendations for on-site safety improvements.
What will make you successful?
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction projects, preferably international.
Knowledge of EMEA safety regulations, local laws, and EU directives.
Fall protection and working-at-height experience (preferred).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Experience in conducting safety training and orientations.
Analytical skills for risk assessment and safety performance management.
Valid driver's license (Category B)
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Climbing: Occasional climbing of ladders, scaffolding, and stairways during site visits and safety inspections.

Lifting: Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 15 kg (e.g., safety equipment, documentation).
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and arms for writing reports, using tools, and operating computers.
Visual Acuity: Clear vision (corrective lenses allowed) for reading documents, screens, and conducting site inspections.
Hearing: Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in noisy construction environments.
Extended Work Hours: Occasionally working outside regular business hours to align with project schedules and safety audits.
Construction Site Exposure: Regular presence on active construction sites with varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
Heights: Working at elevated locations, such as scaffolding, platforms, and rooftops, with required fall protection.
Travel: Up to 80% travel across the EMEA region, including remote project sites, requiring overnight stays.
Temperature Variations: Exposure to varying temperatures when working both indoors and outdoors.
Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
