A data warehouse engineer will manage the entire development life cycle for the company's data platform, including data warehouse and data marts. This includes implementation of ETL procedures, performance management and data warehouse design
A data warehouse engineer will collaborate closely with the product owners, data analysts, and data teams to achieve insights, provide the organization with valuable data solutions, and enable reliably informed strategic decisions
You will be part of ongoing data transformation of our bank, using many commercial and open source technologies like IBM Datastage, ODI, Apache NiFi, Airflow, Minio and others.

What You’ll Be Doing

Analyze functional specifications and user requests to create detailed technical specifications
Design, develop, and implement data warehouses and data marts specific to banking operations
Map data between various banking systems and data warehouses
Create and manage metadata processes and frameworks to ensure data integrity
Develop ETL processes, including data sourcing, transformation, and loading, in compliance with banking regulations
Optimize data access and batch loading systems to meet business requirements and enhance performance

What You’ll Need

Extensive knowledge of relational databases
Three years of experience in data warehousing and database development within the banking or financial services industry
Strong understanding of relational database theory and data modeling principles
Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (experience with IBM Datastage and ODI is highly desirable)
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data quality and compliance

Nice to have

Previous work experience in banking industry
Experience with Apache NiFi and Apache Airflow
