We are on an exciting journey, establishing a European team to maintain a high level of quality in our services. You will join an existing team stationed in different areas of Europe and work across all our locations. Your role will involve managing and delivering professional problem management, coordinating, analyzing, and identifying root causes for some of the largest, most complex, and strategically significant problems in Nexi - all in order to ensure stable and secure operation in both internal tech and supplier applications and infrastructure. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring continuous improvement in our processes, providing input, and generating ideas to enhance the overall quality across Nexi.You'll be powering our Cloud Management Center working in a team consisting of platform and cloud engineers.Nexi is transforming on how to work with application development and delivery to empower Agile development teams exercising DevOps disciplines with at the same time utilizing Cloud providers advanced services to consolidate and strengthen our services.We have an ambitious vision to provide a fast, stable and secure path from idea to production, by enabling and supporting teams in engineering and operating products and thus driving the adoption of modern technologies across Nexi.The Cloud Management Center supports this transformation by delivering the processes, tools, and platforms (both cloud and on-prem) enabling DevOps disciplines across the Nexi group. The scope of this function is covering processes of build, test, deployment, and operations of Nexi's own developed applications with an end-to-end view on the processes, using means of automation to establish the necessary trust in the organization.As one of the Platform Engineers in the team, you will primarily work with our data platforms, administrating them and offering them to teams across our organisation as services. You will work in an exciting international environment with experienced colleagues and stakeholders throughout Europe. Whilst Cloud Management Center is established across several Nexi offices, this position is located with our team in Zagreb/Croatia.Key responsibilities and tasks
- Administration of data platform environments
- Architecture of platforms and processes to support development of data ingestion and integration pipelines and data products as well as associated management processes
- Establishment and administration of platforms and tools
- Support new and existing teams and projects of the development organisation in setting up efficient use of the platforms to enable them to work with DevOps disciplines on data and processes relating to management and processing of data
- Update and maintain relevant documentation such as system documentation, functional and technical handbooks and interface descriptions
- Give input to and integrate to main IT operation disciplines such as Change/Release Management, Monitoring/Event Management and Capacity Management
- Ensure platform compliance by providing means of encryption, masking, tokenization, lineage etc.

- 2 to 4 years of experience with architecting and administrating data hosting, processing and delivery platforms
- High proficiency in local language and English, both written and spoken
- Software development techniques - with focus on non-functional aspects
- Experience with server administration in provisioning, maintaining and configuring platforms
- Experience with disciplines of log management, diagnostics, metrics, capacity management
- Agile development methodology
- Understanding of software development processes
- Cloudera Data Platform including stream processing (Kafka, Flink, NiFi etc.) components
- Data and table formats (ORC, Parquet, Iceberg, Delta etc.) and partitioning schemes
- Cloud-provider natives for data and data analytics / processing platforms such as Azure Databricks, AWS Glue, AWS Athena and AWS Redshift
- Data-governance and -security (Atlas, Ranger, Azure Purview, Azure Unity)
- Distributed processing and storage (Spark, Scala, Impala, Hive, HBase)
- Linux server administration (Red Hat).
- Scripting and automation technologies - Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform
- Security technologies with experience with cryptographic APIs, TLS, X-509, LDAP, OAuth
- Server-side development - .Net / Java / Go
- Version control and build management - Git / Jenkins / Azure DevOps
