This is a management role, with strong emphasis on team leadership, resource planning, and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate combines a solid technical background with proven experience in managing people, projects, and priorities across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
This position acts as the key interface between the CTO and the development team, ensuring the right balance between strategic vision and operational execution.
The Hardware and Firmware Manager will collaborate closely with Project Management, Product, Technical Support, and Supply Chain to ensure hardware and firmware solutions meet business needs and are aligned with product roadmaps and company standards.
Key Objectives
Manage and grow the international hardware and firmware team
Ensure availability of technical competencies and resources for current and future projects
Coordinate and prioritize activities across geographies and time zones
Translate strategic input from the CTO into actionable tasks for the development team ✅ Main Responsibilities
Lead, support, and develop the skills of the hardware and firmware team
Allocate resources effectively based on project priorities and workload
Promote best practices in electronic and firmware development
Manage team performance and professional growth
Ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with company standards
Define technical specifications in collaboration with other departments
Support production and technical support in resolving hardware/firmware issues
Act as a communication bridge between technical execution and strategic direction Education
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields Technical Skills
Electronic design (analog and digital)
Firmware development on microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32)
Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Modbus, etc.)
Experience with simulation and debugging tools Soft & Managerial Skills
Strong leadership and people management, ideally in an international context
Excellent coordination and planning across multiple teams and time zones
Strategic mindset with ability to turn vision into execution
Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
Communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Prioritization and time management in complex project environments
Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
Location: Pordenone (Italy) or Rijeka (Croatia)
