Offer DescriptionUNIVERSITY OF ZAGREBFACULTY OF SCIENCEZagreb, Horvatovac 102aThe Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Articles 73 and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, announces the following:for the appointment3) Of an associate to the associate position of senior assistant in natural science, the field of geophysics, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis at the PMF Department of Geophysics - 1 person.Applications and the supporting evidence of eligibility under the terms and conditions of the Call for point 3 should be sent exclusively via the following weblink:TERMS AND CONDITIONS:The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).the applicants submit: a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.In addition to the application, the applicants for point 3 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:

to hold a Doctor of Science degree in natural science, the field of geophysics, or geology; or in technical sciences, the field of mining, oil, and geological engineering;
working in any of the structural geology modelling software programmes;
experience using seismological instruments (setting-up, repairing, data transmission etc.);
advanced use of computers and computing networks.

who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and that they have achieved the top scores in the interview.An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.All the applicants applying for point 3, who are fully eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, shall be invited for an interview with the Selection Board.The applicants will receive a separate invitation advising them of the time and place of the interview.
