A data warehouse engineer will manage the entire development life cycle for the company's data platform, including data warehouse and data marts. This includes implementation of ETL procedures, performance management and data warehouse design
A data warehouse engineer will collaborate closely with the product owners, data analysts, and data teams to achieve insights, provide the organization with valuable data solutions, and enable reliably informed strategic decisions
You will be part of ongoing data transformation of our bank, using many commercial and open-source technologies like IBM Datastage, ODI, Apache NiFi, Airflow, Hadoop and other

What You’ll Be Doing

Analyzing and translating functional specifications and user change requests into technical specifications
Design and implementation of data warehouse and data marts
Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts
Create or implement metadata processes and frameworks
Develop data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction
Design, implement, or operate comprehensive data warehouse systems to balance optimization of data access with batch loading, according to customer requirements

What You’ll Need

Excellent research, analysis and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge of relational database theory
Three to five years of work experience in database systems
Experience with data modeling and architecture
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (preferably IBM Datastage and ODI)
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Nice to have

Previous work experience in banking industry
Experience with Apache NiFi and Apache Airflow
