- Provide legal advice and support to management and business units on a wide range of legal matters while ensuring compliance of company operations with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documentation and support commercial teams in structuring business relationships and contractual arrangements with partners, vendors, and clients.
- Identify legal risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures related to business activities and support the development of new products, services, and business initiatives.
- Participate in resolving disputes and managing legal proceedings with external counsel.
- Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the company’s business, advise management on potential impacts and prepare legal opinions, internal guidelines, and legal documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison between the appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the organization, supporting the organization in maintaining compliance with GDPR and related national legislation.
- Monitor regulatory developments in the field of data protection and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and implementation of data protection policies, internal guidelines, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), legitimate interest assessments (LIAs) and GDPR principles such as Privacy by Design/Default.
- Provide guidance to business teams on proper handling of personal data.
- Support managing and documentation of personal data breaches and coordinate related internal activities.
- Maintain records of data processors and controllers and assist business units in documentation related to data processing agreements.
- Coordinate the handling of data subject requests related to GDPR rights.
- Monitor and document personal data transfers and related compliance requirements.
- Organize and deliver employee training and awareness programs related to data protection.
- University degree in Law with strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, and regulatory law.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in legal roles (in-house or law firm).
- Good understanding of data protection legislation (GDPR and relevant EU and Croatian regulations).
- Understanding of technology-related legal risks, including digital platforms, online services, and personal data processing.
- Ability to interpret legislation and translate legal requirements into practical business solutions.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and corporate governance.
