We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team on a project for our UK-based client specializing in the betting industry. The project focuses on delivering a social betting app that enables users to connect and bet within their network. We want a team member who strives to develop a first-class application. Operate and monitor Azure infrastructure: networking, identity, security, compute, storage, containers, and various data services.
Administer monitoring, logging, and alerting with actionable SLOs, dashboards, and runbooks; reduce MTTR via automation.
Manage identity and access (Azure AD/Entra ID), enforce RBAC and policy guardrails (least-privilege by default).
Track and optimize cloud spend (budgets, tags, reservations/ savings plans, policies) and right-size resources.
Coordinate with backend, data, and AI teams to provision secure, right-sized environments and shared services (e.g., VMs, Databricks).

What we are looking for in a Cloud Engineer is:

2+ years of hands-on Azure Cloud experience
Great SysOps understanding in reliability, network, security
Experience with cloud networking: routing, NSGs/ASGs, VPNs, security groups, DNS, Azure Virtual Gateway, etc.
Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Entra ID, RBAC, and policy management.
Experience administering CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Proven monitoring/logging/alerting in Azure (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
Awareness of best practices in cost control and resource optimization.
Good scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

It would be cool if you also have, but it’s not necessary:

Domain knowledge in betting is a plus
